Realtors and agents alike are required by the Texas Real Estate Commission to take 18 hours of continuing education to renew your license  after the first renewal period. Two four hour courses Legal Update I and II, and 3 hours of contracts related coursework. If applicable a 6 hour Broker Responsibility course may be required. For complete information visit the TREC website at www.trec.texas.gov. The remainder of the hours are elective CE hours you should complete before your real estate license expires.
